In Japanese, "En" is a powerful word with many meanings coming from the idea of circle or ring. In usage, it can mean to center, connect, or play. These perfectly describe the En Pilates approach.
Pilates' simple but universal style is a great way to center and connect to your core. Pilates focuses on deep, long-term results, but can also be playful and practical for everyday living! My background as a dancer and athlete has taught me that a wholistic and practical approach to fitness is key to well being. I've been practicing and teaching Pilates for over a decade in Portland and Japan. I have several Pilates certifications and I'm a Bodhi Suspension System Master Trainer.
I can work with you, whatever your needs — from general fitness to specific challenges or conditions. Many of my clients have been recommended to Pilates by their physical therapist, chiropractor, or personal trainer.
My base is at the Genuine Movement studio which provides a relaxing and personal space. I also see clients at Sellwood Pilates, another great studio convenient for the Sellwood and Moreland neighborhoods. I look forward to helping you achieve your fitness goals and to connect, center, and play in your life.
